Ideally, yes, that is why the Canadiens are after Dvorak. Thing is, the demand exceeds the supply by far for top 6 centers. If we miss out on those available, Tierney is a great stopgap option that fits Kotkaniemi's progression curve.

Good move. He's a responsible middle 6 center. I would imagine OTT will only trade him at TDL, no?

He should had been Seattle's pick too...

I think they took Daccord because he is still waivers exempt, but if they knew Gourde was out Tierney would have been a decent pick.

Sens accept, I think they’re looking to move on from Tierney before the season starts, they want Pinto at 3C I think, and Bishop is a perfectly adequate 4C, no need to have him there. 3rd with no retention, 2nd with some retention seems like a good price.

Seattle had the medical status of all players no? Maybe because it was Tampa, it wasn't updated.

Anyway, the rationale behind some Seattle picks remain a mystery lol
