Most other Rangers fans on here have agreed to that. But if Chytil + 1st isn't doable SJ isn't moving Hertl.

I highly doubt Hertl will resign with SJ next year, so.

Based on what lol? Hertl has always said he loves SJ and wants to stay here. We will have the cap space to bring him back too. Think him re-upping with the team he's with is very likely.

Two high 2nds is too much to pay for an aging pending UFA middle6 C when OTT has Norris/Pinto/Greig and 2022 1st to plan for

Does this trade make OTT a better team in 3 years when were smack dab in our competitive window?

1. If we improve from last season, the two seconds might not be as high as you think.

2. IMO, the value of 1 year of Strome is higher than two seconds. We can always trade him at the deadline for a profit.

3. If Strome is aging, then I'm ancient LOL

4. I thought Greig was a LW. Some sources say he's a centre while others (like Capfriendly) say he's a LW.

5. Acquiring Strome would speed up the final stage of our rebuild and Ottawa is rumoured to be one of the teams that are serious about acquiring him.

1. I dont think were going to improve much from last year. We have the worst schedule, in arguably the worst division.

2. We *might* be able to sell him for a profit, I have concerns about how much of his production was due to Panarin

3. Good thing were not asking to you be a center for our competitive window :P He is 28, and will be 30+ when OTT's competitive window starts

4. Yeah not sure about that lol

5. Yeah I know were rumoured, but this just seems like what half the owners in the league are doing, desperately trying to scrabble a few wins together because playoffs means profit... no matter if its at the expense of long term success
