none of those guys had established a winning culture. none of em. all of em, save ROR, were average players at that time. not a good leadership core to come into. esp compared to what malkin and crosby had. even ovi had better leaders around him

The caps team was complete garbage. Who mentored Ovi, Jamie Heward?

maybe its more nature than nurture.

Brooks has no connections with Rangers management, hasnt in a long time.

He sure likes to talk like he does, and likes to make very pro arguments for (not that there’s anything inherently wrong with that, but in his case its a bit extreme imo) to each their own I guess.

Hasnt in 10 years or so. He takes his hot-takes ideas from Rangers message boards, reddit and twitter to get clicks.
As a credentialed Rangers writer, he get's info when it's sent to the league, but he has not insider info anymore.

Not a Habs fan, haven't seen this specific one before and most Sabres fans seem to be saying yes

Larry Brooks is a twat and just a mouthpiece for the Rangers. Every thing he says should be ingested with a pound of salt. If teams gave serious offers (not implying this is or isn’t, just saying if they do) they would get access to the records. Saying that Buffalo will hide them from a team that is trading for him is ridiculous and on brand for that guy.

You can attack Brooks as much as you want (Friedman confirmed it multiple times), what matters is that Buffalo demands doesn't reflect the level of risk involved.

That's why no deal is beeing done until A) they lower their expectations, or B) they lower the risks by giving out his medicals or go through the operation.

Agreed on all accounts. Don’t think any team has ever done this tho: “here is the medical records of an injured player we will entertain trades too, 30 other teams” (not implying you are suggesting this, just making a point) if a team makes an offer worth considering, they will see the medical records before pulling off the trade. To imply that they would be making a trade blind won’t happen. When the Rangers offer: Kravtzov, Jones, Georgiev (who also recently requested a trade, and by virtue of how it supposedly goes tanks that value) and a late first, why would KA release the records. That’s not a real offer.

That's literally the asking price of the Sabres

The Buffalio Sabres are asking 4 1's in value this isn't close to that.

Medical records are always shared before making a trade official as part of the due diligence process, to be sure there isn't any hidden issue.

Eichel's injury is absolutely a different process. The injury is well known but the expert opinions about the operation needed are shady, or at least contreversial.

I will go further saying that even if a team would had all medical opinions, their offer will remain cheap until Buffalo go through with the freakin operation and Eichel shows no long term limitations after recovery.

Just get it done ASAP Buffalo 🙄

Again, don’t disagree. Issues I’m seeing with a replacement vs fusion is that a replacement could get dislodged and paralyze him. That’s the hold up from the teams end anyways. And for those saying mma and football players got it, hockey players getting hit at 25+ MPH isn’t quite the same. But my whole point is Adam’s doesn’t have to send the medical info if the offers are garbage. If they remain garbage, we’ll see. That’s been the stance so far, and If an offer worth it comes, they’ll release it or like you said, the acquiring team will already know, pending any further complications.
