avs are set in bottom six players. need a top six winger.

I’d rather have an ahl caliber defenseman play in our top 6 and domi on ir than to trade for Myers. I know we get the picks too but this isn’t enough to take on a 6 million dollar traffic cone.

VAN is no longer in the market for acquiring picks. keep motte and Sutter and Pearson in your bottom 6 they are affordable and great defensive guys that can contribute offense too.
at this point I think VAN is a buyer as they push for playoff success, they need to do 2 things

1) pay to move Tyler Myers Contract likely costs a 1st rd pick. he's not a bad defenseman, but he's not a 6 million player and seemingly has not worked in VAN
2) acquire a legitimate top 4 RHD with that cap space

I don't envisage that Sakic would have any interest in taking on Pearson with 3 years remaining. He's been very careful to not hand out term to non-core players recently, even letting Grubauer and Saad walk because of that approach.
