With 1 more year until UFA and being on a team that's on a steep, steep downward trend, there's a very good chance Hertl is moved before the deadline as it makes all the sense in the world to do it.

Islanders have enough to survive up front. If rumors of Palmieri, Zajac, Parise, Cizikas... they'll have enough to compete.

I agree. I've always said if they actually had a legit shooter that doesn't shoot wide 3 out of 4 chances, they'd be in great shape.

Because probably losing him for nothing in a year is a much better business oriented plan! Man fr came off aggressive and nasty just to make a lousy point. Sharks are not contending and as much as I love Hertl as well it makes much more sense to get assets to expedite the rebuild, even if they aren't calling it that.
