Trades
1.
ARI
Dreger speculated back in March moving Keller could be a possibility, but Armstrong has a haul of picks going into 2022 now. So maybe that ship has sailed.
    2.
    CBJ
Doubtful Jarmo moves Laine so quickly, and there will surely be a "division tax" - but Laine is the pure goal scorer that could thrive next to Barzal. He would have to buy in and play *a little* defense though
      3.
      NSH
Nashville has already traded Ellis and Arvidsson. Rinne retired. Forsberg is one year from UFA and isn't pleased with the org's recent decisions. May be tough to convince him to stick around.
        4.
        SJS
His names have come up in talks before. 1 year from UFA and can play multiple positions. SJS doesn't look like they're positioned to be a winner any time soon.
          5.
          VGK
If Vegas gets into the Eichel sweeps and needs to clear out some money? 1 year from UFA

Hertl is not on the block nor was he ever. It was all mindless speculation by "journalists"

Have you spoken with or are you apart of any kind of hockey management team? - my guess is no. So you don't know the answer to that. & the people writing the rumours would have way more information that you. With 1 more year until UFA and being on a team that's on a steep, steep downward trend, there's a very good chance Hertl is moved before the deadline as it makes all the sense in the world to do it.

How does moving a major fan favorite at the deadline make sense? After losing heaps of revenue last year lets trade the biggest fan attraction we have? Genius. No wonder you aren't in business. Hertl will only move to signify a rebuild which this team is not going to do whether they need to or not. Great job trying to sound like the voice of reason but you have failed. Do some homework before becoming a keyboard warrior.

Islanders have enough to survive up front. If rumors of Palmieri, Zajac, Parise, Cizikas... they'll have enough to compete.
Isles fans should more curious what they're doing with their top 4 LD. they can't be giving those minutes to Greene or a Hickey, Bolduc or Salo, so where are they going there?

I would think (hope) its a two move deal: still get Tarasenko then flip a top-9 Lou deems expendable (Beau or Bailey?) for a top-4 D. That's how I would do it anyways. I still think we need more pop up front

I agree. I've always said if they actually had a legit shooter that doesn't shoot wide 3 out of 4 chances, they'd be in great shape.
I'm just much more concerned with that D spot.
You know teams aren't going to give Lou anything without making him pay up knowing he needs that spot.

& you think it sends a better message to the fans that you lose him for nothing when he walks in free agency because the Sharks are nothing but hot trash these days?

            Great logic though kid.

Because probably losing him for nothing in a year is a much better business oriented plan! Man fr came off aggressive and nasty just to make a lousy point. Sharks are not contending and as much as I love Hertl as well it makes much more sense to get assets to expedite the rebuild, even if they aren't calling it that.
