The amount a team can get for a player goes down when the player is demanding a trade. They won't get what the once could and they need to trade him before his no trade clause kicks in and he can veto trades.

Yep that’s why they will trade him before July 1st 2022. So he won’t force his way to Boston. And get a horrible return.

Not to mention if he wants out we can effectively force Eichel to open his NMC more. It’s not a must move clause

The Bruins have one of the worst farm systems in the league right now and you want to deplete their draft capital in order to dump contracts that would be easier to bury them in the minors. You're not giving up draft capital to dump those contracts. If you can get a 7th back for either one you do it imo but we ain't sweetening the offer, they are depth at worst and can be buried if really desperate. Put them on waivers and if no one takes them for free save the money on their buried contracts.
