Trades
CHI
  1. Lindholm, Hampus ($2,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
I am sure the ducks are interested in resigning Lindholm, but with the defense market demanding 9 million + for above-average D men they may look to trade him at the deadline if they cant agree to an extension.
ANA
  1. Beaudin, Nicolas
  2. Strome, Dylan
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
Since the hawks don't have a first-round pick this year (Still sigh) they will likely have to beat out teams that do have that asset still available. Perhaps the ducks will look to more immediate assets that will help to accelerate their rebuild.

Nicolas Beaudin: I think it's possible Nic Beaudin can be a solid defenseman in the NHL as soon as next season. In this scenario, he has not carved out a spot on the hawks and would likely be a prime candidate to be traded.

Strome: Still young, but his future in Chicago is questionable at best. A change of scenery could do him good, but who knows.

There’s a first and a second out there for a retained Lindholm (additional conditional pick if he signs or gets flipped) Sorry dude.

You can't do conditional pick for resigning anymore, and Anaheim is getting a lot for a player that can walk in FA.

Idk I think the hawk should keep Beaudin. He looked good last season with the hawks, and now since Boqvist has been dealt, I think the Blackhawks could use a puck moving defensemen.

Source on this? Because that seems... very unlikely.

I'd prefer Mitchell over Beaudin. No need for another LD prospect. Zellweger, Thrun and LaCombe are all very good prospects and it doesn't make much sense to have another one on the Ducks best position (right now and in terms of prospects). Fowler, Zellweger, Thrun, LaCombe, Beaudin (and maybe even Benoit) would create quite the logjam at LD in a couple of years.

I would want more value in general. Ristolainen is a comparable deal imo. Both UFA's next summer and look what Buffalo got for him. Lindholm is far better and it's not even close. Ducks probably decline.

The difference between Risto and Lindholm in this scenario is when they were traded. To get a comparable deal you would have needed to trade him at the draft.
