Flames really dont need another expensive middle 6 center, I prefer Looch's term and leadership

Figured. I prefer Henrique but was trying to cut down the years. Also Anaheim has a lot of centres at the moment.

The chemistry at the World Championships with Mangiapane wouldn’t change your mind on that ? Just wondering.

The chemistry was more with Brown IMO, I dont mind Henrique as a player if we didnt already have Backlund and Lindholm who can likely do what Henrique did and more

Columbus trade is interesting. Probably have to add like Terry and a pick. Laine also just signed a new contract so probably not. Depends also on how highly Columbus values the Anaheim pick. If they think that Anaheim will be good with Laine then I doubt they do it

Would adding prospect Jacob Perrault do it?

If Im the Pens, I pass. We get that cap space sooner with Zucker and arent restricted with the heavy $5M+ for an extra year.

I think Mangiapane is making chemistry with lots of players at this point. Best suited to two-way linemates who can read the game well, but I could see him being an impact forward on the top line with a lot of ultra-skilled players too.

I personally want to see him play with Coleman and Lindholm next year. I feel like he will have excellent chemistry with Blake (however my dream also involves adding Eichel to play with Johnny and Chucky)

I think they could end up one of the most effective lines in the west at producing net goals (did we used to call this “plus/minus”?). Could see that line finding quick chemistry and being very, very hard to score against, while having 3 guys who know how to fill the net.

Fingers crossed for Mangiapane’s first 30G season, and 75 goals from that line.

Tre really just needs to get that Eichel deal done at this point and Flames are legit contenders

No thanks to the Laine deal. The 2022 1st should only be traded for someone like Eichel. It's definitely gonna be Top 10 in maybe the best draft class since 2015. This trade would make sense if the team were near playoff contention but it's not.
