I feel like they’d do everything to keep him and avoid that. Should literally give someone like Czikas $6 mil for 2 years. Great character guy and someone who could help during this transition period. If not for Gourde going to Seattle a guy like him as the 3C would be perfect to help take away some of the defensive pressure from the kids.

1) Oettinger is exempt from waivers
2) He's the best goalie in the organization, so he's not going anywhere
3) Dallas is looking to move Khudobin

ok but if hes playing that many games then why would they send him down? at that point khudobin is traded and they rep holtby and oettinger, if oettinger isnt playing hes down in the AHL right away lmao

nobody has ever been injured in nhl and had someone called up to fill in.
this can happen this season, goalies just need to be on roster don't even need to play for games to count.
I get why you dont want it to happen but if Dalla's GM had confidence in otg they wouldn't have signed holtby.

They got Holtby because they don’t trust Dobby not Oettinger, they’re currently exploring a trade surrounding Dobby. Losing Oettinger would 99.9% get Nill fired and never hired ever again in his career, not even at your local McDonald’s.
