Initial Creation Date: Aug. 4, 2021
Published: Aug. 4, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Weber is out indefinitely and Byron is out for the start of the season at least. Price might be out at the start, but let's assume he is.
Gally is the heart and soul of the team, but he no longer is the main offensive force on the team.
Defensively, the top 4, even though Weber is out is solid. KK is one of the polarizing players. His past two seasons have been VERY up and down. He looks super promising in one game and everyone will talk about how good he'll be and then he'll look like complete trash and everyone will talk about how a bust he is. Jake Evans should be ready to take on a bigger role. I do think Drouin comes back. I honestly have no idea where Drouin belongs. Does he play with Suzuki? or does he play in a bottom 6 role? Josh Anderson is also going to be interesting to watch. He did have a good season with the Habs, but he was quite streaky espescially in the playoffs. his goals though did come at the best times in the playoffs. (2 goals in Game 3 against Vegas, 2 goals in Game 4 against Tampa). Like KK he can be red hot one second then ice cold the next second.

I guess Primeau is the back-up to start the season. I like how your team looks, but I know Perreault came to play/fulfill a dream, likely 4th line...energy and agitation...kinda like Perry.
Another line option:

Toffoli - Suzuki - Hoffman
Drouin - Caufield - Gallagher
Lehkonen - KK - Anderson
Paquette / Perreault - Evans - Armia

In what world does Caufield make sense at Center? He's 5'7 he'd literally have no advantage in the draw.

The only Lines with the current players are

Anderson Suzuki Caufield - Scoring, Size, Speed, Playmaking and Suzuki is good Defensively
Hoffman Kotkaniemi Toffoli - Good Offensive Potential ( Could easily be line 3 any night)
Drouin Poehling Gallagher - Wing depth is too good so someone has to pencil in this spot (Easily could be #2 any night)
Lehkonen Evans Armia - Checking Line

With our wing depth 1 of Gallagher/Toffoli/Hoffman/Anderson will play the 3rd line spot. In this scenario gally is but I think the two middle lines will play very similar minutes. 1st line will play a majority and the 4th line will be heavily used to defend and apply constant pressure just like Staal Perry Armia did in playoffs.

We need 1 more Solid 3C because I think evans looks better with lehkonen and armia and poehling has to still prove hes made the right advances in his game

Cmon man lol he's taken like an average of 2 Faceoffs per game in his career, just cause he has C listed with RW doesn't mean hes used as a center a majority of the time

Who I wanted before FA opened was Haula, Good enough for 3C and putting enough pressure on KK to be consistent, BUT hes gone so my guy now would probably be trading for Eakin, Jenner, D.Strome, or Faksa all would be D minded outside of Strome but they are all above 50% FO and its what we need

Okay. Eakin is on the wrong side of the line to be a positive. Jenner is the best to slot in and most likely to be moved. With Dickinson being moved Faksa isn't going anywhere. I really like D. Strome, but he isnt the most defensively reliable, but I think like he big brother he will turn a corner.
