Bjorkstrand is going to be a big part of the leadership and
Mitch turned us down once before and has actually kinda talked crap about Columbus.(on his livestream before we beat them in the playoffs). I wanted him so bad that summer we lost panarin, now? I want nothing to do with him. It’ll be like domi. Hw won’t work out and he’ll leave in FA.

CBJ doesn’t want or need Marner.
Bjorkstrand is more valuable to CBJ than Marner would be.
Not to mention the Jackets would have to part with assets AND take on double the salary??? No thanks.

wow, yeah, that's a much worse team. Not even half marner's value, Dermott is better than Mete and Gudbranson isnt even an NHLer.
please make the team worse?

I watched this player in a live game on Westcoast 5 years ago.......get burned consistently.....and realized sadly he has no foot speed.......Big heart.....but can not keep up with the speed of the game now unless he is hidden in the line-up.

You have to be kidding......Marner is a top 10 scorer in the NHL....plays on PP and PK and is a players and fan favourite and does a ton for the less fortunate in the world.....and you are passing up on a player that every GM in the NHL is dying to have on their team..

As a Leaf I might do the Columbus trade, just to obtain Bjostrand and gain 5.5m in cap space. But leave Domi out of the trade, he's a non factor. Rather have Tie than Max.
The other trades and signings, just bad for the Leafs
