Nurse is a great D man but that’s just too rich of a contract, better hope it doesn’t have any NTC or NMC, because that’s gonna hurt after a few years. The market for offensive minded D men rn is insane.

He's never going to live up to that deal. They really should have bet on him long term on his last contract, and now they're paying for it

I think it would be smart to hold off pulling the trigger right now. He’s not a UFA right now so they should wait and see how his season goes before signing him big. If they sign him now and he just falls off then that will be tragic.

Absolutely, but if he plays amazing, then he may want 10+M, so I don’t know if it’s better to wait, or sign right now. He will get 8-9M I bet you no matter what. I’m thinking the oilers are hoping that he plays as good as he did last season.

Nurse is worth no more than 7 mill. The oilers have more cap than the leafs and some how have a much much worse roster

I disagree on the roster part, but yah he is not worth more than 7, but we may have to overpay for him to stay. If he plays really good this season, he may be worth it.

Again, I disagree. Haha, you are not better at every position. It will be interesting to see what he actually gets, and to see if he is worth it. I hope he doesn’t get 9M, but who knows what he will get in the end.
