Does Dvorak make sense for the Wings

Created by: Lancebmx
Team: 2021-22 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 3, 2021
Published: Aug. 4, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Saw some Dvorak trade rumours linking him to the red wings. I would like to see him come here but all dependant on the price.

What after people's thoughts? Does this get the deal done and is it worth it for Detroit?
We still have a bunch of talented prospects in the system as well.
Maybe it would be better trading guys a little further from making the team?

Berggren hasn't proved himself in the nhl yet but he just came out of a very impressive shl season. Behind Raymond and Veleno he's one of the most promising Red Wing forward prospects.

Dvorak is a good player on a decent contract but the Wings don't NEED to make this move for 21-22 so I don't think they do it or they do it for other pieces.

Idk if that trade is fair, but there is no reason for the wings to make that trade right now. The way I see it, every rebuilding team should be tanking at all costs right now with the draft year next year having some potential franchise players. The next one does too. Wings shouldn't make this trade because it might make them better.

That's kind of my thinking too, just trying to get some discussion on the topic. I personally think he would be a nice add for the team, but then they would be just that much better. I think with these drafts coming up they shouldn't try too hard to compete.

Totally agree with this, just going off recent rumours. I think with Wright and Bedard coming up plus all the others that we should be focused on that and not winning.

I'm pretty sure the Yotes decline this trade. I also Detroit is in a position to make trades like this. Thinking you can finish the rebuild faster by trading multiple assets for 1 or 2 vets is how you end up in the never ending rebuild. Be patient.

There is no way I would trade Berggren right now. His age adjusted season in the SHL was one the best in the last 10 years in that league.
