That’s actually a reasonable trade from oilers point of view. Well done

We don’t want reasonable from the oilers. We want over pay. Bring it on Holland!!!!!
Also bump up that 5th to a third. We’re taking on 2 bad deals now. At minimum a second and a third. Or a second and a prospect. Edm needs as much space as they can get to fill out a bottom 6 to be competitive.

The benefit to the Oilers is they would save about 2.2m in cap with the trade proposed. That might be fair value. But geez Korpisalo is no better than Koshiken, and maybe worse.

Edmonton rejects. Turris will be buried and cost just $525k against the cap. They aren't giving up picks to downgrade their goaltending! tears of joy

I agree there isn’t much more to do. Maybe trade korpi. Maybe sign a right shot defenseman. Nobody is left that I would want (other than vatenen, but he doesn’t fit the role we need). so I’d say there’s nothing left to do but who knows.
Unless we get a domi trade and then another middle 6 center like a kerfoot or someone like that.

Who said they were the same?

Also, what oilers fans refuse to mention, is that koskinen is much older and has never been above average at the NHL level. Korpisalo is younger and had a very very good year 2 seasons ago, and was insane in the playoffs. Youre dead wrong id you think NHL gms would take Koskinen over korpisalo.

Well age means nothing. Both goalies are UFAs at the end of the season. Why talk about two years ago, how about last season, and seems like the Koshkinen was superior.
