Additional Details:
Don't think Winnipeg would ever want to move this guy.
They could use an upgrade at RD and Dobson proved he could contribute this year and looked good for the future. I also doubt the islanders want to move him.
WPG
  1. Dobson, Noah
  2. 2022 1st round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Not really sure what the value is here, just going to go with this and see what happens. Basically mortgaging the future but most of these guys are signed to some sort of term.
Islanders LD is suspect after Pelech and they have Mayfield and Pulock on the right side.

But you’re creating another hole at 2RD. You have no one to fill it longterm

Morrissey isn’t elite - he’s been pretty bad for the past two seasons. I wouldn’t trade Dobson for Morissey and a 1st.

Isles have two LHD (bolduc and Salo) that are very close to NHL ready, one of them will make the team this season. All the isles need is a stop gap.

I think Mayfield could fill that hole and Wilde or Greene fill in third pairing.

I agree about your 1st point but not the 2nd. The Isles are trying to win it all right now, they can’t be too patient. Tampa got weaker, now is the time to really go for it

This is kind of my thought, hence why I stated they mortgage the future. Not great for the team long term but this team would be unreal.

I’m saying they need a stop gap at 2LD, but one of Bolduc/Salo will be 3LD this season. The isles just need a competent #4 D to play with Noah Dobson on the 2nd pairing.

Bellows for niku or a lesser change of scenery trade makes more sense for Winnipeg right now. Jets main need is some toughness around opposing teams blue paint.

That's a an overpay for Morrissey by the Isles who are so somewhat cap strapped. Finding a competent LHD seems relatively easy, compared to RHD.
Can't see Cizakis taking a 1m X 1 deal. He's looking at his last contract. No reason to think there is money waiting for him from the Isles next summer.

Yeah not interested at all.
1. The value here is skewed big time towards WPG.
2. Not very keen on paying 6+ to a 2nd pair dman in this cap crunch we're in.

That Morrissey trade is terrible for the Islanders, would happily swap Morrissey for Dobson, I'd take Komarov and Hickey to get Dobson, kids gonna be a stud dman.

if the islanders are trading dobson + a first, i’d want heinola, not morrissey. the value is way off here.
