If you think that Jost is worth a first round pick, especially in a draft that is this good… you are absolutely wrong.

Did I read you right?......I am sure you meant Dubas or Leafs instead of Avs.

Why wouldn't they, a 30 point winger for a 1st, a 30 point winger and a very good depth defenceman? That's a massive overpay.

Tyson Jost is a respectable player, very good defensively, Strong PK, and when he moved to 3C he was at a 0.5ppg pace last season. SO go off, clealry you dont know anything about the player just look up hockeydb stats only

Hes not worth a first but no one wants to take on Mikheyev and Dermotts conracts either with the cap tight for teams so you have to pay to get rid of cap space for a young 3C

How can you say that no one would want to take on Mikheyev and Dermotts contracts.....when almost every GM in the NHL would be lining up to take on these two young players at reasonable contracts.

are teams lining up to take on 1.5 and 1.6m contracts right now ? Why pay assets for them. If they are moveable and leafs were trying to move them they would be gone by now.
They are not bad buy they arent desirable when they can be replaced by guys on ELCs over them. Cap is a premium.

You are way off the mark....if you think these 2 players are equivalent to ELCs players....I also have some swamp land forsale if you are interested as well.

Would I play Newhook on his ELC (and another player as well liek Kaut) for the same cost as Mikheyev in the line up. yeah 2 ELCs players for the price of him.
Byram at half the cost on his ELC than Dermott....yeah I would again take the ELC player.

It's an overpayment by TML but I don't see why either side does it. It would be inconvenient to have to find a new 3C for the Avs buy maybe they'd flip the 1st.

Mikheyev would be a solid enough fit on the 3rd line but Dermott would only play if there were injuries. $1.5m is a lot for a 7D on a cap team.

If jost is a young 3c than Mikheyev is a young 3w an dermott a young 4d, and they're cheaper so by your logic the leafs should get 2 firsts from Colorado back

3.1m in cap hits vs 2m....do the math again in terms of "cheaper"...Also Jost just turned 23....Mikheyev is 27 when the season starts, Dermott is 25 during the start of the season.
So again do the age math

Each player is cheaper than Jost is, therefore they are cheaper.
And the entire point was that jost is not a good young 3c and he is not worth a 1st let alone two players who are on his level of value at worst.
You are hilariously over paying for a player who isnt very good

I suggest you read the comments before replying. The leafs give up two assets that are individually worth as much as jost and an additional one that is worth more.
Your trade is hilariously lopsided for the aves

again reading comprehension issues...I said from the first post that jost doesnt get a 1st round pick in a return. And I didnt once advocate it was good trade.
Seriously process the posts before you start ranting about them....just breath dude, read things through before jumping off the deep end

once again....reading comprehension issues. I never said Jost had a lower cap hit then the individuals, are you having an argument with yourself bc you are making up things that I never once posted.

Have a good day man, no point continuing to post here bc you really need to calm down and process the conversations first

yes, you did have reading comprehension issues when i stated that the players were individually cheaper and you talked about them being more expensive together. That is my point.
It seems to be a very big struggle for you to realise this since you just keep repeating the words reading comprehension over and over again.
