Winnipeg declines.

When Ottawa was able to claim Forsberg off waivers last March, that was because Winnipeg placed him there.

Forsberg has no trade value and Winnipeg doesn't want him back at all unfortunately

You would have to give the Flames a lot more to take on that Colin White contract, especially if we are sending Monahan and a 2nd the other way.

I don't think Braanstrom is a great fit for Calgary, left shot, offensive guy with a mediocre defensive game. Calgary has that in Valimaki right now, I think White or Tierney would be a good piece in a deal for Monahan but I think the Flames would ask for a Pinto+Tierney or Thompson+White kind of deal.
