Goaltending looks a little suspect. But from an outsiders perspective who does not care much for Eichel... I feel this environment would be good for him. You have an established leadership with Barkov and Huberdeau so he isn't put in a spot to be "the guy". He can play with solid wingers. There's some meat on the team to protect him.

Value wise in the trade, I have no idea. Bob would have to waive from Florida to go to Buffalo, seems unlikely.

I don't know. This Lundell kid looks incredible so far. Tippet looks like he may pan out and would be a stud pairing with Dahlin. I know nothing about Benning. An extra 1st in the Bedard draft never hurts. But then of course the Bob contract. If you somehow managed to convince him to waive, would retaining 1.5 Mil get the job done?

The way I’m looking at it, the first and Tippett are for taking Bob. Tippett could still put it together, and he’s a nice piece, but nothing to write about yet. Lundell indeed looks good, but it’s Eichel we’re talking about here. Benning is a nonfactor. Bobs contract is only gonna look worse when he’s placed on the bench for knight. As for the first, with Eichel, Hubs, Reinhart, Ekblad, and Barkov, there’s zero chance that team misses the playoffs. That first is in the 20s in 23, not reaching the NHL til 25 at the earliest if ever
