  1. Kravtsov, Vitali
  2. Schneider, Braden
  3. Strome, Ryan
  4. 2022 1st round pick (NYR)
  5. 2022 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
- Strome for Cap purposes, can also be flipped for more assets.
- Kravtsov is a young forward that should develop into a solid top 6 winger.
- Schneider has the potential to become a solid #3 or #4 Defenseman. Could be an excellent fit next to Dahlin in the Future.
- 1st round pick and an additional 2nd round pick that the Sabres can use to add more young talent.

I honestly can't think Buffalo fans can be serious thinking that they will get a lot more than this at this point. He is going to be traded and these are great pieces for them to continue their rebuild.

I can't see Kakko being involved in this deal. Maybe Lundqvist instead of Schneider, and he would be a nice fit next to Owen Power. Buffalo don't need Georgiev, their plan is obviously to be as bad as possible this year to have a chance at the #1 pick again. Chytil could be involved in the deal, but in reality, Buffalo already have Mittelstadt that is their own ''project'' I can't see them adding another one in Chytil. Zach Jones would probably not either be a guy that Buffalo target as they are stacked on LD prospects. Morgan Barron would be an interesting piece for Buffalo to look at. I think he has all the tools to become a really good 3rd line center Behind Cozens and one of the top picks in the 2022 draft.

I am not sure what the other teams that are in the Eichel sweep stakes are prepared to offer. I can see Buffalo trying to add guys like Rossi, Addison, Rask as a cap dump plus a pick from Minnesota. I don't know if Minnesota does that though.

I think Eichel won't and shouldn't get anything close to what was the asking price for him a few months back (the equivalent of 4 1sts).

Having said that, this is a really, really low-ball offer, even for me lol.

I understand where you are coming from, but I feel like the Rangers start from here at least.

Rangers legitimately do not have any high end forward prospects. Kravstov hasn’t showed a lot in the KHL or NHL. Adams and Drury aren’t going to come to an agreement.

A #3-4 Dman wont be next to Dahlin, the Sabres have no need for that as well. Stop trying to force D prospects into Sabres trades, its just annoying at this point

If I were Buffalo, I would look at it like this. You already have a #1 and #2 defenseman in Dahlin and Power. Schneider could become an excellent #3 and partner either of them. You have Cozens that safely projects as a #2 Center, Jack Quinn who arguably was the best goal scorer in that draft class and should be a lock for top 6 on the wing. Peterka and Rosén who should be top 6 wingers, at least top 9 and Mittelstadt who can play center or wing on your top 9 in the future. Kravtsov would be a nice add to that forward group. If you get Barron as well who I think will be a phenomenal 3C the main thing missing would be a #1C, something that Buffalo likely adds next year if they finish near the bottom. In goal you have Ukko-Pekka, Levi and Portillo which is really promising as well.

Why would you not add a guy that can play next to either Dahlin or Power in the future? Both Schneider and Lundqvist are not forced adds into the trade. It is something Buffalo definitely should be looking to add. Look at how strong Tampas defense is.

Huh? LOL

I mean, I agree Buffalo would turn this down (and should),.. but no forward prospects???

Kravtsov was tied for his KHL team's lead in goals, and played 9 less games than the other guy..who's 27...Kravtsov was 20 years old to start the season.

This doesn't even mention anything about Kakko or Lafreniere...

I am super confused on this one!

Completely..

You can argue what Buffalo would be more interested in, that makes sense. But to make Schneider sound like a scrub or unwanted piece...where does that come from?

I completely agree with you here. Kravtsov has already had a lot of pro experience which is good for his maturation as a player. He could become electric in future.

This isn’t a low ball offer. The guy wants an experimental surgery for a SPINAL injury. He might never be the same player. It’s a serious injury.

Schneider was a untouchable according to the NY post. Which is ridiculous to think about. I just can’t see the Sabres trading him to the Rangers. Plus Pegula wouldn’t allow it either.

I don't understand it either. It is like people don't wanna do some research before sharing their opinions.

Kakko and Lafrenière aren’t prospects they are full time NHL players. Kravstov had a really bad start in the NHL. I guess I expected him to do more in the KHL 3 years after being a top 10 pick.

Believe me, if the Rangers really want Eichel. The only prospects that are untouchable are Laf and Kakko.

I think the trade is more than fair for the Sabres. Strome can be a UFA next summer. Then the Sabres will have those young cheap assets and just as important a lot of extra cap space to replace Eichel.
Seems like Sabres fans and Sabres fans are so afraid they are going to screw up UFA signings again...(Skinner, Okposo) they don't want all the cap space to sign one or two very good pieces.

Do more? He was tied 1st in goals on his team last year in the KHL while playing 9 games less. He led the team in points in the playoffs and also was tied 1st for goals in the playoffs on his team. What more do you expect lol?

Agreed. The Rangers point to a lot of guys as untouchables, but EVERYONE can't be untouchable.

I would say Kakko and Laffy are, as well as Miller and Fox. After that, they are going to have to part with some of their high end prospects to make a deal like this happen. Or they should move on and start shopping for a cheaper alternative while Buffalo gets some time for the reality of the situation to sink in.

Kravstov 24 points in 49 games 3 years after his draft year for being a top 10 pick will go down in history.

So what you're saying is, you Googled "Vitali Kravtsov stats", saw what NHL.com had listed and decided he isn't high end...

Makes a lot more sense now..

I agree with you, they can even try to add more dead contracts for picks just like Arizona did to reach the floor. Skinner and Okposo for $15 Million helps to reach the floor. So will that Dahlin extension.

I don't know how buffalo could accept this.
Your evaluation of the pieces come back prove it.
How are you trading a bona-fide 1c top 5-6 in the league. For pieces that won't even result in top line players. Please make it make sense

Yep. He has really bad underlying numbers too at the NHL level.
