  1. Kravtsov, Vitali
  2. Schneider, Braden
  3. Strome, Ryan
  4. 2022 1st round pick (NYR)
  5. 2022 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
- Strome for Cap purposes, can also be flipped for more assets.
- Kravtsov is a young forward that should develop into a solid top 6 winger.
- Schneider has the potential to become a solid #3 or #4 Defenseman. Could be an excellent fit next to Dahlin in the Future.
- 1st round pick and an additional 2nd round pick that the Sabres can use to add more young talent.

I honestly can't think Buffalo fans can be serious thinking that they will get a lot more than this at this point. He is going to be traded and these are great pieces for them to continue their rebuild.

I can't see Kakko being involved in this deal. Maybe Lundqvist instead of Schneider, and he would be a nice fit next to Owen Power. Buffalo don't need Georgiev, their plan is obviously to be as bad as possible this year to have a chance at the #1 pick again. Chytil could be involved in the deal, but in reality, Buffalo already have Mittelstadt that is their own ''project'' I can't see them adding another one in Chytil. Zach Jones would probably not either be a guy that Buffalo target as they are stacked on LD prospects. Morgan Barron would be an interesting piece for Buffalo to look at. I think he has all the tools to become a really good 3rd line center Behind Cozens and one of the top picks in the 2022 draft.

I am not sure what the other teams that are in the Eichel sweep stakes are prepared to offer. I can see Buffalo trying to add guys like Rossi, Addison, Rask as a cap dump plus a pick from Minnesota. I don't know if Minnesota does that though.

Kravstov 24 points in 49 games 3 years after his draft year for being a top 10 pick will go down in history.

He was 2nd in goals for KHL players under the age of 22 last year. Come on man, this is getting ridiculous.

Yep. He has really bad underlying numbers too at the NHL level.

A lot of great players struggles in their first year of being in the NHL, that is such a flawed argument. His underlying numbers weren't terrible, not great either, about what you expect from a young kid playing his first games in the NHL.

I don't know how buffalo could accept this.
Your evaluation of the pieces come back prove it.
How are you trading a bona-fide 1c top 5-6 in the league. For pieces that won't even result in top line players. Please make it make sense

Wake up! Look at all trades that involves super stars, they don't get you a superstar of the same caliber back! You get solid pieces that helps you build a new foundation. I already explained to you what you could expect that each piece in the trade would become, go back and read it!

I am by no means saying this is fair value, I agree it isn't.

But...a lot of people keep making the mistake of measuring Eichel's value like he isn't broken and demanding off the crazy train...

The longer Buffalo keeps demanding full value, the longer this is going to drag on and the lower his value will be. If I were the Rangers, I'd put out a statement that they've moved on. Most of the other suitors have already filled their needs elsewhere.

If they allow camps to open, or even worse the season starts? $h!t show!

I don't need the same caliber player but you do need prospects with the capacity to be that good whether that's the form of actual prospects or picks.
Getting prospects that will simply fill out the middle of the roster won't get it done.

I don't know in what fantasy world you live in. Look at the Erik Karlsson trade, Mark Stone trade, Hall when he was in Arizona, and more recently Seth Jones. This is the kind of return you can expect.

I understand where you are coming from. But Eichel is under contract for 5 years.
It is better to keep him then help a contender win a championship to get pennies on the dollar in return.
If teams don't wanna pony up that's fine. But Buffalo can just hold onto Eichel until his contract runs out

Those players were all about to walk for nothing. Buffalo has 5 years. Big difference and none of those guys are 24 y/o centers.

That's an absolutely fair point. However, none of them were getting a surgery that never has been performed on an elite athlete before either. You don't know how he will come back from this. You also might not want to have a player in the dressing room that is pissed for the next 5 years, can be very bad for team morale.

Rangers legitimately do not have any high end forward prospects. Kravstov hasn’t showed a lot in the KHL or NHL. Adams and Drury aren’t going to come to an agreement.

That's just uninformed. Kravtsov played better than other 20 yr olds in KHL. He looked very good for NY in his limited time. Comfortable with puck on his stick, made good passes, hot shots off from scoring areas and had quality play defensively in the neutral zone.
Some games he appeared more effective than Kaako.

I'm hoping they keep him to play 2nd line with Panarin.

Why would you not add a guy that can play next to either Dahlin or Power in the future? Both Schneider and Lundqvist are not forced adds into the trade. It is something Buffalo definitely should be looking to add. Look at how strong Tampas defense is.

Because the Sabres have there own D prospects and current NHLers. There is 0 reason to move Eichel for one

That wasnt the asking price, that was never a thing.

It was stated as the asking price. Also Kravtsov is a top prospect. He was top 20 prospects last year and this year is coming into the nhl at a full time job. Look into the players before you make assumptions based off of the nhl website.

Completely..

You can argue what Buffalo would be more interested in, that makes sense. But to make Schneider sound like a scrub or unwanted piece...where does that come from?

Sabres D in about 2 years
Power - Dahlin
Samuelsson - Jokiharju
Bryson/Johnson - Kuokkanen/Laaksonen/Fitzgerald/Any UFA Vet dman so the average age of the Sabres defense isnt 22

it was rumored as the asking price and has long since been debunked. I literally never said anything about Kravtsov

There is a reason. Eichel said he wants out and wont play for your team. The longer you hold him the less teams are interested and more value he loses. As well as buffalo because they pay his salary. As a nyr fan i dont want eichel because of the assets we have to give up is a lot and current offer there is quite fair for both sides but we lose ziba if we get eichel so this may be an upgrade for a year but we force out an elite player next year due to cap conflicts.

I assume that you are a Buffalo fan based on your profile picture, and it is sad that you don't seem to be familiar with the prospects in your program. You have Jokiharju that plays on the right side as a young defenseman, after that NOTHING. Samuelsson and Johnson are nice pieces and left sided. They are also likely closer to being #5 defenseman than a #3. A Schneider or Lundqvist gives you such a solid D-core to build from. Laaksonen is not even close to their level.

Instead of actually understanding the argument presented you decide to inspect grammar? This shows me that you know the argument is lost toward's your point but you want to attempt to insult others instead of broadening your views and understanding others.

Dahlin played right side in Sweden. Move Eichel for little help in the absolutely depleted forward group but you get a Dman, or move Dahlin 22 ft to the right. The Sabres drafted 2 dmen this year, Power, a cant miss #1 overall pick, and Nikita Novikov (LD) in the 6th round. Shoring up defense doesnt seem like much of a priority. Also Kuokkanen and Laaksonen are not nothing. Im way more familiar with our prospects than most Sabre fans

Your argument had nothing to do with my statement which is why I questioned how familiar you are with reading English. When did I say anything about Kravtsov and when did I say they had 0 reason to move Eichel?

I'm not sold on Jokiharju at all. He can be moved in the future. Don't think he will become a legit top 4 defenseman. Dahlin won't play together with Power either, that makes no sense at all.
A more realistic backend for you would be

Dahlin - ??? could be Schneider or someone from free agency or other trade
Power - ??? could be Lundqvist or someone from free agency or other trade
Samuelsson/Johnson - Jokiharju
Bryson, Kuokkanen, Laaksonen and Fitzgerald are depth guys.

Theres 0 reason to not put Power and Dahlin together, other than it fits your argument. Power Dahlin would be ridiculous. Jokiharju and Dahlin both struggled with Kreuger, both said he was confusing and handcuffed them, both played better after Kreuger was fired. Jokiharju is fine, he also just turned 22. No one should be worried about him
