As a Wings fan, I'd have taken a 7th and a bag of pucks for Jurco, so I'm thrilled with a 3rd.
His flashy YouTube stick skills didn't convert well to the NHL. He needs a change of scenery, maybe it will work for him in Chicago.

I think winner goes to the Wings. The Hawks should have traded McNeill and a 5th or 6th. McNeill is a 1st rounder from the same draft and needs a change of scenery just like Jurco.
Bowman and his scouts obviously think Jurco can turn out similar to Panik. They have similar rap sheets. If that is the case its a great pickup.

Initially I thought this was a bad deal for Chicago but Jurco being on the team means Desjardins or Tootoo don't have to dress which is a positive.

Jurco was good in his rookie season when called up due to all the injuries. He has proven to produce when he gets a decent amount of ice time. I could be wrong about this since I don't know much about the Wings, but his most productive year occurred when like half of the Griffins were called up due to injuries.

Right now, the Wings win this trade, but that changes to the Blackhawks if Jurco pulls a Richard Panik.

Better option than Desi and Tootoo. Some seasoning in the minors for Hinostroza can benefit him like it did for Schmaltz, but I would like Hinostroza in the lineup over Jurco eventually unless Jurco shines.

I would like the Blackhawks to trade for an experienced defenseman to play with Seabrook. Kempny/Forsling not trustworthy yet. Hopefully one of them gains Q's trust soon.
