I think it's a pretty good move. 3rd rounder will be low.

I would say Jurco sees time on the third line with Hossa and Kruger/Kero. Hossa and Jurco are both from Slovakia, so maybe they can form some chemistry. Ras is best fitted for the 4th line shutdown role as well.

I do agree, and had Jurco/Krug/Hoss initially, but since Hino was the man sent down, I don't see Rasmussen playing with Kero and Hartman. I think they'll leave Moose/Krug/Hoss together for time being, Jurco serves a (slight) upgrade from Hino with Kero and Hartman... at least based on lines the last few nights

Honestly I do not think this is a smart move from the Blackhawks. They get a guy who scored ZERO points in 16games this season. Last season in 40ish games, he scored SIX points. I think Blackhawks over-paid for an unproven player.

Guy was battling a back injury for some time. Didn't play in an NHL game for 7 months then comes back into an injury riddled bottom dweller team this season. We saw how well Toews played with his injured back at the beginning of this season and he didn't even require surgery.
Does a 3rd seem steep for him? Yeah probably, but its not much if he turns out like Panik which I'm sure Bowman is anticipating.

I would have liked to see Desjardins sent down instead of Hino. He has played awful all year.

For hawks fans on here this guy has modeled his game after Hossa. The guy has the skills but hasn't been used right. When he was playing well his season he was healthy and playing on a line with sheahan who has 0 goals this season and Tomas Tatar. He might be slow at first but he can also be resigned cheap in the off season

An almost 4th round pick in a terrible draft for a player that might be useful in a few years isn't overpaying at all for the low risk of a guy that could potentially help now or near future. At worst, they bring Hino back up for the playoffs and still have 9 other draft picks in the draft (2nd most).
