So he will not play again until he's moved, unless the Sabres buckle from their position.
You don't need to be close with Adams to know this, you just need to research this.
Well you have an interesting research methodology... This is a pretty massive assumption. There is also the possibility (which you ignore to serve your chosen narrative - talk about intellectual integrity...) that Eichel ends up getting fusion. The overwhelming weight of medical (and, more to the point, tort) history says he almost certainly loses any medical arbitration case (which is likely why he hasn't filed).
His alternative? Do nothing or go rogue and get the surgery he wants anyway, either of which result in suspension and not being paid for as long as 5 years...
Eichel has just about zero leverage beyond willingly sacrificing $10M/year and his career.

Things change
And you’re ASSUMPTIONS are not the facts you think they are
Incredible, isn't it? People draw ridiculous conclusions and truly believe their uninformed opinion to be the only possible truth...

Sabres are proving they won’t “sell low” on Eichel
Sorry u can’t accept that
Good luck to ya
This could still go either way to be fair but selling low does seem unlikely now.
I suspect they are fine letting him sit out, suspending him for not doing as the team doctors say, and not paying him. Keeps him away from the team, forces him to realize his path back to the NHL is coming back and proving he's healthy (which is the route the Sabres should go anyway), saves the Pegulas $, makes a statement that the Sabres won't be pushed around no matter how much you complain (which is overdue), etc. Sabres aren't exactly a destination right now anyway so nothing to lose.
That will turn up the heat on Eichel real fast. Adams has every reason in the world to make Eichel suffer here considering how badly he and his agents have handled this so far. (Who exactly was that statement they put out supposed to be helping? A trade is likely further away now than ever.)
