I wouldn't give up Bolduc AND a 1st, probably one or the other. Or one has to be downgraded.

    Yup, I'd do that.

Though I have a feeling Poile would rather re-sign Ekholm. We'll have to wait and see!

1st and Salo, but you have to keep Bolduc right now. Him and Dobson are the second pair of the future.

Then take out the 3rd. I think Ekholm comes in as a rental, not someone we can sign long-term. If there's an extension in place, then I'd do the deal as is.

Dumping Hickey and Komarov will cost two seconds.

    One for each dump.

Anton Stralman's cap hit was 5.5 million and he has 1 year left.

He was dumped on Arizona at the cost of a 2024 second and a second round pick from 2019.

The cost to dump Komarov and Hickey is two seconds or its equivalent.

    That's not negotiable.

I'd love to know where you found this "going rate".

Or whether you just made it up smile

Ladd had 2 years at 5.5 and it took 2 2nds. That means 1 year of 5.5 is 1 2nd.

Yeah I was surprised at that. If he came with a decent extension id do it as is. Otherwise as a rental I wouldn't be so keen to move another 1st.

If you prefer to use Ladd as the comparable instead of Stralman for dumping Komarov and Hickey, then this trade can be made with Arizona instead.

    Ottawa declines smile

Your depiction of Hickey as a winner is really fascinating.

Also, didn't you place Komarov on waivers like 3 times this season?

Your concept of what a winner is seems rather compelling.

Yeah sure. Realize how arizona got all the cap dumps this offseason. You know why? Because they didn't charge exorbitant prices.

I'm charging the same price for dumping Komarov and Hickey as Arizona did for having Stralman dumped on them by Florida.

    Nothing exorbitant about it.

Saying Stralman is not among those cap dumps on Arizona is a fallacy.

    You should know better :/

Im looking at ladd deal. And what about the ghostisbehere deal? He only took 1 2nd to move as did tyler Johnson. Duncan fukn Keith got assets back!!! In no world does leo+hickey cost more to move than Tyler Johnson.
