I think kerfort is a much better player then Pearson and JT vs Nylander is even. The Nylander has 1 more year on the contract. Toronto needs to lose money and gets grit with Pearson and the skills from JT

JT vs Nylander is definitely not even. I love JT, don't get me wrong, but there's no way Leafs would trade him considering he's their 3rd best player on their roster & was their best playoff performer this post-season.

If you want JT, you'll have to trade us Matthews. If you want Pearson, we want Marner. Canucks would expect the Leafs to retain 50% of salary on both of course.

After this, I would expect the Leafs to trade JT back to the Canucks for a 4th round draft pick...retaining 50% of his salary of course....
