Looks like Eichel will toil away in Buffalo, whispers of Pegula looking to move the team without state/local funded new arena, or on LTIR for another year. Or 6...

Way too much from the rangers, check my last post, if he goes to NYR, that’s what it might look like.

Overpay from both. Eichel's value is at an all-time low, and decreasing every day he isn't traded. I don't get why Adams is so stubborn, he is just hurting the franchise with these ridiculous prices.

I looked at it out of interest sake and that’s not bad! My offer was always this:

New York Rangers

Jack Eichel

Buffalo Sabres

Ryan Strome (cap move)
Kaapo Kakko
Nils Lundkvist
(NYR) 2022 first

Mine is slightly different, getting the better defence man in Lundkvist, and not choosing the goalie because I think that’s a little much, especially if they are getting Lundkvist. Also, they got Devon Levi from Florida, so maybe they don’t want a goalie. I do agree, and think this guys offer is way too much. I doubt Rangers move Lafreniere.

No lie there....
That package would get Draisaitl out of Edmonton.
Good grief Charlie Brown!!!

*sigh*

Value aside, we can't afford Eichel without moving Fiala to Buffalo or a 3rd team in a 3 way deal.

Chris Drury telling agents the Rangers have never been seriously interested in Jack Eichel.

It is not overpay. It is the market price.

Goaltending will need decisions for 2022-2023. Luukkonen will be one of the two goaltenders. Who will be the other?

How is Lundkvist better than Adam Fox?

Ah yes, the market price nobody is willing to pay. But doesn't that make it an overpay...

They have a very similar skill set with the skating edge going to Lundkvist. He’s also two years younger than fox was when he entered the league. I would say age wise he’s ahead developmentally. But fox did grow exponentially when he got to the NHL, haven’t seen Lundkvist there yet.

In terms of the original proposal,

Laffy > rossi by far.
Miller > rask and it’s not even on the same planet.
The rest of the deal is essentially the same.

Why so much more from the rangers. You’d be lucky to get kravtsov/kakko and Miller at this point let alone laffy.

You can sign one out of free agency. Also, you are not getting Fox.
