Virtually every time someone posts something with the title of, “helping out so and so,” in reality, they’re just robbing that team blind.

This is more of the same.

Those are the exact players Tampa is trying to keep...

Helping them out would be taking McDonagh's contract

laugh How does this help out Tampa? Cirelli and Sergachev aren't going anywhere especially not for those pieces. Tampa already got rid of Gourde and Johnson plus have Seabrook on LTIR. Pretty sure Tampa will be fine.

How is taking away their stud 2C and #2 D man on great contracts helping them? Lmao just gonna assume this is a troll.

If they are shedding more cap, (they don’t need to right now), Palat/Killorn will be the ones to go.

TBL has to make some moves. This deal saves them $2M+, gives them a low cost prospect, and a bunch of picks. It’s has some Risk in Debrusk, but that’s why the picks. If you look at past performance ceilings, it’s statistically in TBL’s favor.

Maybe TBL has figured out how to use the LTIR/IR hack but this honestly isn’t a horrible trade.

TBL has a 1LD. Grze has similar stats to Sergachev and DeBrusk has a 27G ceiling. Try playing in Boston, reminded of how bad the 2015 draft is, isolated from family for a year+ as a 24yr old.

He goes off in TBL, Grze continues to perform, they get Senyshyn who is also a victim of the 2015 draft but plays well when he gets his shots.

It’s really not that far off a deal.

Thought TBL was at cap, with 16 players signed. They need to add 7 to their roster. They might get close and get a 2LW and a 2LD plus some potential upside drafts.

I did actually forget about losing the 2C making Cirelli more valuable to Tampa with nothing going back to help out.

The only team helping someone out here is buffalo. And we aren't willing to help you out by giving away a pick to take a player you don't want.

I mean, this deal is just horrible for them. They don’t need to do anything major. They’ve already done that. They get grzelcyk, who isn’t nearly as good as sergachev, and only a million cheaper. Then they get debrusk who isn’t anywhere close to the player cirelli is and he’s only about a million cheaper. And they don’t really need to do it. This trade is just so ridiculously bad for tampa. Kinda worth deleting, and i never say that.

They only need to sign Ross and they’ll be at 22 while slightly over cap. There’s a ton of better ways to shed 1M than losing Serg and Cirelli.

Cherry picking a best season for debrusk and ignoring his past couple of seasons isn’t a good way to look at player valuation. Tampa is seriously downgrading in this trade and if they needed quick cap relief then maybe you could convince me that they’d try to move one of these players. But in reality they don’t need to do much and if they wanted to move somebody they would just move McD. If Serg or Cirelli were actually available, 20 teams would likely send better offers than this one.

Tampa doesn't need help. They need to win a cup with the same roster (give or take a few players who get injured) all season and then keeping relatively close to the cap in a non-bubble, non-covid restricted year. Otherwise, those last two were 'asterisk' championships. I'm not saying they have a bad team, I'm just saying I don't like Coopers face!!

I guess you aren’t part of the Boston crew that thinks Grze is untradable because he was on pace to achieve Krug-like numbers and DeBrusk will return to Form once he gets back home and learns to stay off Twitter.

The Bruins should have placed an offer sheet on one or both of those guys before the last season.

Would have been much easier than trying to trade to fill in the missing pieces.

Would you consider Grze and DeBrusk for just Sergachev instead?

I see your points. I guess the Bruins are stuck with the team they have for the time being and see how it goes for TBL.

P.a. Better deals mean players with more salary which TBL can’t afford.

Anyway. Did a TBL test and they have $1.7M but need to sign Colton and at least one other player. They will be at cap and be fine.

No three-peat for them though.

That's why I said taking his contract would be "helping Tampa out"

You should change the title of the post to "robbing Tampa"

On so many levels this is gross. What’s wrong with just writing out grzelcyks name? Or go with grizz. Grze is just tilting for some reason.

Grzelcyk is an awesome player. Sergachev is better. Grzelcyk and Debrusk for Sergachev makes Tampa’s cap worse, and their team worse. You just need to abandon every single concept you have created here. It’s all very very illogical.

TB is currently over the cap by just under 5m. 6.8 of that is Seabrook who goes on LTIR. They don’t have to do anything.

That trade is horrible for TB. And with only 1m in cap space Boston is in no position to ”help” anyone with cap.

The reason i spell Grze, is I can never spell it correctly.

You’re right about one thing though, I messed up the cap. I quickly sent and didn’t think about it.

Can’t wait to see your armchair-GM that gives your bot McAvoy a decent partner and gets a 2C somehow.

There is pretty well no LEGITIMATE ACGM that gives both McAvoy a decent partner AND gets a 2C. Don Sweeney has seen to that. Unless of course someone creates something like the nonsense you have created.
