Description
Here it is, the roster nobody asked for. Read it and weep, folks.

-Bergeron @ center instead of Crosby because he has the highest faceoff %. Selke man.

-Point on 1st line with McJesus & Mac because he's unreal & should be there, enough said

-O'Reilly, Stone, Barzal is such a nasty line. Just look at it.

-Tom Wilson to bang some bodies, pucks in deep, pucks at the net. Underrated hands. Bertuzzi 2.0 (hopefully without the sucker punch) Huberdeau & Couturier are alright too, I guess.

-Defense is perfect, you can't tell me otherwise. Shea & Petro for dat Vegas chem, Burns & Doughty for the California connection, and the best defensive defenseman (Pelech) with the best offensive (Makar). Sorta like a Karlsson X Methot combo circa 2017.

-You can't have a Canadian Olympic team without the Price is right in net. Kuemper is sick & Fleury just won a Vezina so he deserves a medal.

Because they're nasty???? I would accept someone like Nurse, Chychrun or Hamilton replacing Burns but Doughty is elite

The olympics is supposed to be a demonstration of skill and talent. The players are their to have fun, not injure the opponent….

I won't comment on all of the team, but I will say that Armstrong did mention that he wants the team to be younger. Team Canada has also, historically, been big supporters of having left-shot defensemen playing the left side and right shot defensemen playing on the right: this is due to the fact that, when skating down the ice as a right-shot player, you can see more of the play and react faster to it, your passes will be crsiper, etc. Burns or Doughty, who are both still very good players, may still make this team. But I am not so sure that Team Canada would support either playing on their off-side. That's just my opinion, so please don't hate.

You may think he's overpaid/overrated but Marner deserves to be on there more than the majority of the bottom 6 there

He lost some of his favor to me with his absolute dud of a playoffs... If I were picking the team right this second I wouldn't trust him to perform in a tourney. Those other 6 guys though you could bet your house on (aside from Wilson, that was for fun. Put scheifele there instead and we're good). 2 selke winners, 1 selke finalist, the fastest player in the league not named McDavid, and Huberdeau who's been excellent & had a great series against Tampa.

I feel like the hate on Marners playoff performance is due to being on the leafs, look at his career playoff stats he has 25 points in 32 games honestly solid numbers IMO
