I like this team a lot, except for the goaltending.

The team has a good mix of skill and grit and size. There is scoring on all 4 lines as well. I could see them going far in the playoffs if goaltending holds up.

But that goaltending is gonna be hit or miss -- and I'm leaning towards miss. I like Blackwood, but I want a more consistent backup than Jones to play with him. Blackwood struggled last season a bit and he needs to have someone who can take the reins for a bit. That's why I love the addition of Bernier to NJD this off-season.

I'll say 3rd round exit, due to goaltending.

i totally agree but feels like a lot of teams overpaid. Bernier and Ullmark got massive contracts haha

Definitely agree on the Ullmark overpay -- at least Bernier only got 2 years and NJD has a crazy amount of cap space (and Subban's $9m gone next season)

2/3 in their division probably wouldn't win a cup but more than a zero percent chance
