Like i dont think Boston has the pieces to acquire Eichel. To get him theyd need to send some piece or two somewhere else and get back some assets to send to buffalo

You threw in hardly anything. A cap dump, 2 B prospects, and a struggling forward along with two very late 1sts is not a good offer. Carlo, Lysell, DeBrusk and your 2022 1st is a much better offer but still probably gets outbid by other teams

I agree, this package isn't enticing at all. Studnicka and Debrusk are morbidly overrated from a value perspective by bruins fans, and these 1sts are both late. Most any other team can construct a better offer.

I kinda get the impression the market on eichel is softening. Am i the only one?

In other words, you mean his value seems to be dropping?

Yes. Well, not necessary value but perceived value. He’s still the same guy, but i feel like the market for him is growing weary of this process.

Def not the only one.
I used to think it would cost Kakko + Chytil + Lundkvist and a 1st. But now it might cost :
Schneider + Chytil + 1st and maybe another conditional pick

Yeah. Even still, my gripe is more that I don't see any bruins packages as having the type of quality returns coming back. None of Studnicka, Debrusk or Urho are at the same level as a Schneider or Chytil, or whatever a Ducks or Wild package would include. It's essentially 3 middle options and late picks. If I'm Buffalo, I want to ensure at least one quality level A prospect is in the return. You can get depth anywhere. But you don't move your best player for quantity.

Oh I 100% agree.

First he pretty much requested a trade without precisely saying these words. This:
1- removes every bit of leverage the Sabres has
2- lowers his value by at least 15%

Second his injury shenanigans are another factor that lowers his value but quite a lot, I'd say another 15%.

So let's say he's got 70% of his «normal» value left, if that is true then the Sabres can definitely forget getting the Byfields, Turcottes, Lafrenières and Kakkos of this world.

I'll agree with everything but putting Kakko in the same sentence as Byfield, Turcotte, Lafreniere. Until he has a better year than Casey Mittelstadt he doesn't belong...
