Pretty underwhelming. Driedger doesn't waive for Buffalo anyway. His NTC was likely negotiated to stop exactly this.

Why would Seattle harpoon their new start with an overpaid player, with serious neck injury AND attitude/maturity issues.

Eichel since making 10 million dollars,
166 GP, 66-112- 178 points. Calling him overpaid, isn’t a good take at all.

Has not lived up to 10 mil in over 2 years.
Flat cap for next year maybe 2.
Yea... its accurate.
He would have been traded bye now.
He is currently NOT WORTH 10 MIL CAP HIT EVEN FOR JUST NEXT SEASON.

78 points in 68 games 94 points in 19-20.
18 points in 21 games 70 point pace playing through 4 different injuries. So I’m not sure why you say he hasn’t lived up to his cap hit.

Nothing Buffalo would be interested in. Maybe Dunn but hes not worth trading Eichel for. Berniers is mandatory, leave Geekie and the 22 1st, add another forward prospect

Elite centres get paid a premium. Would you rather Jack Eichel or Darnell Nurse or Seth Jones?

I think he underperformed last season due to injury but otherwise has played well. Definitely worth 10M.

Thank you... Eichel fits in perfectly with those also bad contracts, making all three overpaid.

I agree that he is elite and that he is worth $10 million per, with a caveat being that he needs to be healthy to do so. That said, teams just aren't going to create a package for a player that they are completely unsure if he will either be able to perform at his normal level or even be able to play again. I feel for Adams: he was in a no-win situation. But he did himself no favors by not trading him at-or-before the draft. Now most teams that would have traded for him have moved on. Eichel is skating now, and while that's nice to see it does not how Eichel will perform after surgery. Personally, I think any trade happens at training camp or after he recovers from surgery and plays his first few games. Since the Sabres are not letting him get the surgery he wants (beyond me how they won't let him be in control of his own body, but I guess the contract dictates that?), other teams will be taking on all of the risk here.

I feel for Sabres' fans. I really do. You didn't ask for this to happen, and it's got to suck. I was an Eagles fan for a long time, and it was tough watching them endlessly disappoint. You deserve better.

Coming from a Buffalo fan, during the current time. With your ridiculous asks for Eichel.
I wear this proudly.
Would not want to be near any idea or offer that has come out of Buffalo in the last 6 months!!!
