I am a big Järnkrok fan, but I don't think he is 1st line material. Does all the little things right. But as a 3rd line winger who can play top 6 in a pinch? Fantastic.

Pretty sure Seattle could get a 2nd for him without the retention.

sounds like a very accurate description of hyman without matthews JT willy and marner (at least for his first couple seasons here, now is def top 6). Might not have top 6 skill but does the little things right, very good to play with, digs pucks, etc. I somewhat agree but not sure that much better for the price tag we need is available

    Because it isn't lol.

I am of the thought process that if this season the Big 4 can't get it done, Marner is gone. Or Reilly is dealt in season (highly unlikely)

Just can't find a proper balance in the line up with that much money tied up in 4 forwards.

But, I think Ritchie will serve well in trying to fill Hyman's shoes. Time will tell.

Agree and agree. This is the "last dance" with the current core if they can't make a respectable run. Though I do have faith in them taking a stride if they can add another top 6 LW. And i'm glad they didn't sign Hyman to the edmonton deal as well
