well you shouldn't be worried about the avs not doing this cause the leafs decline pretty quickly

On what planet. Young top pairing dmen locked up long term have significantly more value than wingers. SIGNIFICANTLY.

I like Girard but that's a great winger and our #1 prospect (still a rookie iirc)

He is still a winger, not even a ppg winger. That Sandin is your best prospect is more an indictment of the system than a declaration of how good he is. Did you miss what CHI gave up for Jones AND then signed him to an extension, and don’t even try to go well Jones is better than Girard because he isn’t.
