Fox just won the Norris trophy as a 23 year old. I can't envision any situation where they move him. He might be worth the same as Eichel at this point.

As absurd as this deal is; at least it was in Buffalo's favor instead of the usual lowball offers.

Yep -- Fox is about as untouchable as it gets.

If that's the cost, the Rangers are better off standing pat with what they have. Flip Strome for assets closer to the deadline, re-sign Mika, and enjoy your wing and defensive depth.

I said earlier that Fox may have the same value as Eichel. The more I think about it, Fox might have more value given his age.

Yeah I’m not moving a 23 year old top pairing RD in Fox straight up for Eichel. This trade would be awful for us.

That's why they are adding him. It's the illusion of actually adding something. Plus georgiev wants out, so buffalo needs a goalie. Right? They need a goalie, right?

You couldn't get Fox in a one-for-one trade for Eichel.

Take out the three firsts and it's still an overpay by the {hated} Rangers.

Why would we trade a guy whose contract is no burden for us for a guy who is, both on the ice and on a financial basis?

There are some lowball offers but some are probably just lowball but realistic at this point. Eichel needs to come back and play at a high level to likely fetch his best value which if course he doesn’t want to do. This is very 99 yashin

Be first time in years that Sabres won a trade. Besides the absurdity of the Rangers trade, the Ducks trade is so one sided too.
