Rangers decline. Underwhelming return plus it's within division

1. that is a more than fair return. 2. They are not in the same division

Zboril and Debrusk basically have no value. He's worth more than Stud and a 1st, especially if he resigns

well, it's definitely not a "comes with extension" type of offer

Zibs signing long term in Boston looks like a good fit. Not saying the Rangers or Bruins or Zibs should or could do a sign and trade. But Bruins should have cap for him next years, Rangers maybe not.

Zibanajed will want more than the internal BOS cap will offer him

I wonder how long the Bruins can have this internal cap. They have been a successful team for a fair length of time partly because they have managed the cap so. I just wonder what quality centres will be available next year. Maybe Zibs is their best bet. And from Zibs perspective, there may not be any "good" teams that can offer as much as Boston. Maybe you take a discount and play with a good team to finish your career.

With Hall signing a reasonable deal at only $6m, I think it'll be there a bit longer. Will be interesting to see what McAvoy gets though... I think the McAvoy and Pastrnak extensions will be the start of big contracts in BOS.

I could see them going after a guy like Dvorak or Monahan who come in at a more reasonable cap hit and shouldn't be too pricey to acquire. Maybe a stop-gap 2C in Kadri as a UFA next year? Actually, Trochek could be a really good option -- he'll likely price himself out of CAR, but should come in at a good cap hit for BOS as a UFA next year.

I have to imagine the Rangers can do better than this. Even if he demands to go to Boston.
