Couple trades I would like to see

Created by: Lancebmx
Team: 2021-22 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 9, 2021
Published: Aug. 9, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trying to add a couple picks to use for either drafting or trading up.
Acquire Copp by sending one of the gained picks and a roster player on an expiring deal. Could maybe add a bit more to this trade. Stetcher might also be a possibility but would probably have to send Beaulieu back.
The only issue with bringing in a couple cap dumps is it makes it harder for our forward prospects to earn a spot on the team. I would prefer them to have another season in they minors and come up around the trade deadline.

The value is not too bad, but it is unlikely Winnipeg would want a left shot rental back as part of a package for Copp. It's far more likely the Jets target a younger, low cost, roster player with term. Preferably a right hand shot.

like the hagelin trade think the 2 and 3 a little much but understand the reasoning you would get a good pk killer in hagelin helps caps with cap space

The Capitals reportedly had to pay a 2nd to dump Pánik in the Mantha deal. Hagelin being the significantly better player, the cost to dump his contract should be lower.

    There's a slight difference though.

In the Mantha deal Detroit had an incentive to make the deal work in order to get Vrána and the first. Here there is no such incentive, Detroit have no need for Hagelin, the only important part of the deal is the picks we'd be getting.

The Copp deal is good for Detroit.

The other deals are fine for the picks they bring back, the players will be fillers in Grand Rapids.

That's pretty much the whole idea, get picks to acquire players without losing the picks we already have. Like I would definitely package a couple more seconds in order to acquire another player that could help long term and fits.

Never had anything like that really here in Saskatchewan, we are bred for the cold. We laugh when we see things like 3 inches of snow and shuts down a city.
