I think that could be “in the ballpark” so to speak
But i don’t think Strome has much value- he might be worth a 3rd?
And DeHaan is clearly just to help make Salary Cap room for you guys- he’s not really of interest to us other than topossibly trade at the deadline maybe (can’t imagine he’s worth more than a 3rd either)

So i think those 2nds would need to be upgraded,
or you need to add another good piece

Boqvist could be of interest to us- we could use a young RD with potential

Just my opinion though

No chance Sabres retain and even less chance Chicago considers paying that much

On the whole, agreed but mainly because of the massive retention. $14M retention over 5 years is going to cost at least a 1st and 2nd, maybe more (I don't see Buffalo retaining more than $1-1.5M).

Strome and De Haan are just there to make the cap work then be flipped at the TDL for an uncertain return so that seriously limits their value (especislly since Buffalo has no use for De Haan). I'd say upgrade the 2024 2nd to a 1st as a starting point and it's a maybe. So, all told, a strong effort.

Not close for Lindholm, his return would be closer than not to what you guys gave up for Jones
