That is a terrible Eichel deal and I question your fandom as a result.

You don't seem to understand how little bargaining power the Sabres have. They aren't going to get the haul you expect. Plus I doubt you are a Wookie.

Not a fair characterization at all.

I would like to see how the goaltending tandem between Anderson and Dell works. The tandem exists because Ullmark signed with Boston, and Luukkonen needs another season with Rochester before joining the Sabres full-time in 2022-2023. The Sabres will need a goaltending partner for Luukkonen in 2022-2023.

I am not sold on Chytil and Strome yet. Chytil would be expected to take a jump from being a 3C with the Rangers to a first line forward.

They might as well keep Eichel then. Frankly i don't see why that's being missed. I dont want him back either but if you trade him for bottom 6 players with no remaining term your never going to have any bargaining power because other gm's will just wait you out. If eichel wants to pout and rot in buffalo thats his choice but i recommend he goes and earns his 10mil cap hit if he wants out. Why do the sabres have to trade him? Are they going to be worse if they keep him? Its not possible.

I mean, done from Rangers POV.

I think Jones probably makes his way into this deal too.

This whole bargaining power take is full of #### and is only brought up by local reporters of the Rangers. In actuality we have plenty of leverage to get a haul. The only detrimental problem is his injury but that’s the only thing. We have him under contract for 5 years and regardless of his NMC if he wants to leave he’ll have to waive it.

How is it full of ###. He hasn't moved yet has he? Risto moved and so did Rheinhart. We'll see what type of "haul" the Sabres get for him.
