Go big Ken

Description
If Kens going all in for the short term as it seems, then lets go ALL the way in. Fire in the hole !!!

Kosk and Kyle are only for cash purposes. Zona is getting 2 of our top 3 prospects. Arguably our top prospect in defenseman P.Broberg. and our 2nd best forward prospect in C/W R.Lavoie. As well as Arizona piling up another 1st in this coming draft. Giving them 8 picks in the top 2 rounds. It smells of rebuild in Arizona. **Id even toss another 1st there way** instead of the 2nd and 3rd. Chychrun is locked up for 4 more seasons and in all honesty may now be our best Defenseman. Toss up between him and Nurse. But less then half the cap hit.
Our defense needs more solidifying. This drastically helps that.
His contract fits into long term plans essentially replacing Kassians.
It will be a tight fit next year but doable. Essentially the same roster for the next 2 seasons, with modest increases to JP and Georgiev and Nurses raise. Archi and Russel will be gone for league min replacements. The rumor of the 1 mil cap increase is hopefully true.

  1. Chychrun, Jakob
Additional Details:
With Arizona about to Embark on a rebuild, we will help move them along. With 7 picks (2×1sts) in the first 2 rounds of the upcoming draft we will give them another on their quest to bottom out for potential Generational talent Shane Wright. Theyll also receive 2 of our top 3 prospects including #1 prospect Left Defenseman P.Broberg. They also save around 12 million on this deal
ARI
  1. Broberg, Philip
  2. Koskinen, Mikko
  3. Lavoie, Raphael

  7. 2024 3rd round pick (EDM)

Additional Details:
NYR gives AG his chance elsewhere. They get their cheap backup. Another fast enforcer, a decent prospect and a 1st. While only adding about 1.5 in cap. With their almost 9 million in cap space, thats hardly a concern

  1. Kassian, Zack
  2. Stalock, Alex

We don't need any more enforcers, we have one up front and in back, thats more than enough

Problem for the Rangers isn't adding small amount of cap this year.

Next season they have to resign Zibanejad, Kakko and Fox.

That 3m + cap hit on the books (bc Georgiev would be gone) is a net add for them and would potentially handcuff them on extending players.

Value wise, it's probably a good trade but the Rangers can't afford to make this kind of move for the above reasons.

Kass would be movable. Even if only a mid round pick. But he may prove he deserves to stay more and they move on from Reaves. Its a next years problem lol

I think that Chychrun trade is unlikely to occur, because I don't think holland would offer that, but it is certainly possible

Even if that's the case, they already have a log jam at forward to work through

These are their (likely) current line combinations

Kreider Zibanajed Kakko
Panarin Strome Lafreniere
Kravtsov Chytil Goodrow
Blais Rooney Barron

Hunt, Reaves as extras

Adding another forward to this only further complicates things
