My Eichel trade

Created by: GeneralLandro
Team: 2021-22 Anaheim Ducks
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 10, 2021
Published: Aug. 10, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
First things first, this is only after the Ducks doctors look at Eichel and sign off that he is 100% and no lingering anything from injuries.

That being said this is what I personally think a trade package would look like.

If I offended you, we’ll damn, kinda sorry kinda not. After all we both are on the internet pretending to be a National Hockey League General Manager.

that package is missing Zegras. Even if you take out Olofsson, it's still not very close.

Buffalo says no, right? I take this in a heartbeat as a Ducks fan but I'm fairly certain Sabres fans want no part of this. Well, the draft picks at least.

Zegras is going nowhere and I’m not just saying that. The Ducks own GM has said that so thats fine. I don’t think it’s worth getting rid of any other assets

I mean, it is what it is. I just wanted to throw out what I would pay to obtain Eichel. People are probably going to get butt hurt but that’s okay. Just one couch potato pretending to be a GM being judged by another!

I agree with you, I would not trade Zegras. I don't think he'll be as good as Eichel, but he's younger, cost controlled, and meets ANA window.

If he keeps progressing he will be a big part of Anaheim’s future and I’m totally here for it

I agree with the "we're all internet GM's so none of this matters" point, but if you gotta say that before posting the trade, then the trade is baaad lol

As a Buffalo fan, he’s not getting Zegras or Drysdale….at this point, the Sabres have little leverage and they’d be lucky to get McTavish. We can say they don’t have to trade him, but that “leverage” goes down the toilet when it’s been made clear the team does not want him on the roster to ever play another game for Buffalo again

A fair offer would be Comtois, Lundestrom, Terry, or Groulx and Dostal with a conditional first

Oh man I agree with leverage being lost by the day pretty much now. But I pray Comtois goes nowhere. I have him on the untouchable list with Zegras and Drysdale. I think he’s a top 6 guy, hopefully in Anaheim, for a long time
