As a pens fan I think youre overvaluing our players a bit.

Vegas denies that in a heartbeat. If they refused to make an Eichel trade, an up and coming young elite center, because of Krebs, they wouldn't trade him for Malkin, who is a couple years out of retirement and has been struggling to perform.

You've also severely overestimated the trade value Jason Zucker has right now. Even with retainment, you MIGHT get a third alone. Unlikely though.

Reilly Smith doesn't really fit in with the Islanders system either.

Okay, no rebuild - but where are Penguins prospects? The cupboard is bare, even according to Brian Burke.

COL isn’t doing that. That is literally awful. What is the impetus for them to even consider something like that? If EJ is healthy which he supposedly is he is a solid 3rd pairing guy, Kaut still has 2 years on his elc and looked good before injuries derailed him at the start of last season and is at the least a serviceable bottom 6 guy and COL isn’t trading away another 1st. And what’s Carter for them a middle 6 old guy. Hard pass.

No need for Zucker. Too many wings already caused us to throw away Buch.

The cupboard is bare because previous general manager Jim Rutherford kept trading away draft picks. If the Penguins can have a quantity of draft picks and pick well in the 2022 and 2023 drafts, the cupboard can begin filling up.

Johnson sucks, esp at 6 million. Sakic would do this for a Cup.

Oh, so the Pens taking on EJ's full 6M cap hit has no value? Okay.

Avs don’t have a cap issue due to his contract and he’s still a good player

So let’s not pretend like he had negative value but go on with over valuing penguins
