Edmonton is not as desperate as people think. the media in edmonton are but doesnt seem like holland is.

Holland might not be desperate but a tandem of Mike Smith and Koskinen? I'd be desperate.

mike smith had a stellar year last year. even if he regresses a little bit the oilers will be ok.
Koskinen stats wise has the same stats or better than any goalie they have been rumored to get.
as for shipping koskinen out for khudobin yes might be a slight up grade but not at the organizational cost of a player who will be a 20 goal man this year.

should holland have gone after a goalie in free agency probably.
at this point should holland give up assets for a lateral move or for a slight improvement at the cost of a really good player absolutely not.

At this point you just ride it out.

Why? They've run that tandem for 2 years now and done just fine: the Oilers are 12th in the league for GA/GP despite being 21st in SA/GP. The goaltending isn't an issue.
