Wow.

Johansen and Duchene are cap dumps. You’re not getting good assets back.

Forsberg isn’t returning that much as a rental.

You made a simple mistake here. According to ever Flames fan on here, the Flames will literally reject any and every trade, regardless of how fair or unfair it is.

No thanks, we don’t need Granlund. Also, with Mangiapane, Dube, Gaudreau, Tkachuk all having that left shot, I don’t see them wanting Forsberg. Also, they are no where near contending, so Forsberg would leave anyway.

Yea no Flames don't consider that. Mangiapane is going to be cheaper, and is still an RFA(I estimate he gets around 5 mill) for Forsberg I estimate 7-8 mill. I will keep the extra cap space and picks to give Gaudreau and Tkachuk extensions

Ryjo and Dutch have no value and are cap dumps. Your paying to get rid of those.

Columbus isn’t trading a 1st+ for Johansen. He isn’t worth the 8.0 cap hit for the next 4-5 years (I don’t remember how long his contract was).

Counter…we’ll take on RyJo’s contract if *you* attach an unprotected 1st and a high prospect. And with 4 years left, you may have to retain $1M or something to that effect.

We’ll give you Domi and Scott Harrington.

oilers do not have the cap space for grandlund unless you take back some money or a contract like kassian.

There are so many things wrong with this statement,
1. Calgary is trying to contend and they aren't far off at all.
2. Forsberg is a right handed shot

Only thing thats an issue with that trade for Calgary is the absurd price

I can apologize about the handedness. I thought he had a left shot. But I will not stand here and say that you guys are contenders. You guys can’t even make the playoffs, and now you are contenders? You will be competing with Seattle, and Vancouver just to make it. A contender to me looks like a good team, that can contend for the cup.

We missed the playoffs because you took Montreal to overtime twice before winning to end the season. Flames were one of the hottest teams in the league towards the end of the season. Calgary probably makes the playoffs this year, especially if they get Eichel.

I should clarify, I am not calling them true cup conteders though, I said they are trying to contend and aren't that far off. Remember Ritchie was a regular in the top 6 last year, Coleman is a massive upgrade on that at the very least
