Not bad for CBJ, if only because I think Compher could be flipped for more than a 3rd, given a $2.5M cap hit and a greater role on a rebuilding CBJ team.

Issue is CBJ are flush with roster players. You’d have to take on Domi and/or Stenlund, if only because we don’t have the space otherwise. That complicates the trade return.

Is Compher anything more than a bottom 6 center at this point? I think last time I saw the avs play he was 3rd line RW? If that is the case I’m not sure Columbus would really have a use for him.

No point in moving Compher if you dont use the cap space to upgrade the team. Might as well keep him since he makes the team better even if his cap hit is high for what he provides

Yep - Avs fans need to get used to the idea that JTC is staying and that the team thinks a lot more of him than we do (which is, to be fair, mostly about his cap hit). I wonder if the Avs see him as a Donny replacement; truth be told, since Donny is due a regression way back from his 19% shooting, if JTC can be a solid 3RW, he wouldn't be that far off from what Donny was likely to give this season. They're both 30-35 pt guys who are streaky so I don't think it's a stretch at all to consider JTC a Donny replacement.

He has always shown best on the Wing. He can play Center but you wont get the best version of him until he is back on the Wing.

The Isles aren't going to trade Adams or anyone else for Miska. If Miska ever sees an NHL roster again, it will only be because of a large number of injuries.
