Schieffele and ehlers aren’t the ones they’d move if they needed to clear space

Which ones do you see them moving to be Cap compliant?

When you've consistently put up 362 Points over the last 348 games (past 5 Seasons), you're a little above goon territory.

That hit was bad (and costly), without question. But production like that is hard to come by.

Dude is a PPG player, makes one hit that is an error and is now a goon?
Yo, CF MODS, you may wanna take a look at that guy who made the goon comment. Yeesh

Beaulieu makes the most sense. Can probably squeeze out an extra half a mill if they move him and hopefully they can resign Copp with all of the remaining space. If they can’t figure Copp out I’d imagine they move him out.

I don't think they're going to have an issue being cap compliant.
But if they really needed to and needed to trade a big contract, I would guess it'd be Connor over Schief/Ehlers.

With a 19 man lineup, the Jets have 3.85 in cap spaces. They can clear up 525k if they trade Beaulieu for a pick and replace Beaulieu with Niku. That would give them 4.38M to sign Copp, which should be enough.

If the Jets are looking to shed cap, they won't trade one of their best players on a great contract

One way to be cap compliant is to trade Copp. Otherwise, moving DeMelo would work as offloading Beaulieu wouldn't provide enough savings to have Copp and some wiggle room.

I'd trade Copp, promote Perfetti

There's a way to have both in the lineup

All the Jets need to do is trade Beaulieu

They would have a scary top 9

There is a reason why sheifele plays while they have an empty net. He is trusted to break up any opportunities that may result in a scoring chance for the other team. You also can only come to a complete stop so fast. It’s called physics. Sheifele is not a goon. If you want a goon, just look at someone whose last name is Wilson, and whose first name is shared with that of a cartoon cat. The hit on evans was unfortunate and the suspension was probably a little excessive. Should he have been suspended, yes, but probably not that long. I really hate that if you get suspended for something you get labeled as a goon. In some cases that is right. But for someone who had never had any prior disciplinary issues in the league, no he is not a goon.
