Still betting this guy will become a legit NHL player. I always believed he could become a Top 6 forward in the NHL, hope he does.

Good signing. Hopefully he can finally make the leap to the NHL. He tore up the AHL for the past 3 seasons so it's about time he gets a full time NHL job.

I would have preferred 2 years, but that's likely not fair to the player. Clearly he realizes that with the Oilers so close to the cap that taking league minimum increases his chances of playing in the NHL. He could have signed his $875k qualifying offer but took less instead. Smart kid.
