    Detroit will decline that proposal.

    You can have either the prospect or the picks but not both.

    Copp is not a player that fits Detroit's rebuild so well that we will pay that much for him, he's a player that would be very nice to have but he's not a necessity where we are as a team right now. We are also acutely aware of the cap position WPG have put themselves in and that you're unable to sign him yourselves. You're not exactly negotiating from a point of strenght here.

    No thanks, I'll take both! If Detroit doesn't want him, fine by me, there will be multiple other teams who make a similar offer.

    Winnipeg's salary cap space will have absolutely zero effect on the value that Copp brings back.
