That's probably a fair deal, but I dont see Toronto making that trade.

To be fair to the guy the value is there, but Dubas is high on his guys, Nylander has a cheaper contract, and is younger.

That's why I don't see it happening. Plus Nylander and Tarasenko are two totally different players. Toronto has two snipers in Matthews and Tavares. Why add another sniper to that top 6 instead of having two really good set up guys who can also score?

It's a fair deal. Leafs fans, such as yourself, are notorious for overvaluing players. There are other reasons why the trade doesn't happen, but value wise this is good.

Uh huh, right so "fair value " is a young 1st line winger on a cheaper, longer deal for a disgruntled more expensive guy who hasnt been healthy in 2 years and is coming off a bunch of shoulder surgerie.
Someone is over valuing players here and it isnt me

Tarasenko is a 1st liner sniper who according to his doctor is healthy and was looking really good at the end of the season. Only 2 years left on his deal plus getting two 2nds on top of him. So yeah, it's a fair deal, but it's not part of Toronto plans.

William nylander had as many goals in these past playoffs as tarasenko had the past 2 seasons is almost 5 years younger, cheaper, healthy with actual on ice performance proof of it and looked incredible at the end of last season.
Two late 2nds dont make up that gap, so no, it's not a fair deal

They do actually. You may not think so, but it's a fair offer. Again, Toronto won't do it because they dont need to do it.

No, they dont. Old broken players do not have close to the value of young healthy ones and that is even before you factor in contracts.
Just because you think it doea doesnt make it true
