No reason to buyout Okposo on a team not at the cap floor. Also too many kids in the lineup (mainly Quinn and Rosen).

Deal looks like something I could see happening. That's the price floor at least.

Rangers we be foolish not to take that, I love Nils and fil but eichel might push us into contention in a year or 2

Then consider Drury foolish. His list of young, untouchable players apparently includes Lundkvist, Schneider, Miller, Kakko and Lafreniere. And he's hesitant to include Chytil.

Seems like an underwhelming return for Eichel.

Yeah with a list of untouchable players that long... I don't think a deal's getting done.

do you know Drury personally and he told you this?

or

you read all the nonsense that Larry Brooks and Rick Carpiniello publish and believe it?

Yeah, I think they might be a little hesitant because they haven't quite hit there stride yet. God forbid we deal a kakko or Laffy and they turn out to be the equivalent of Stamkos or mark stone, which I think could happen with those 2. Very high ceiling on those 2 especially

Even if they turn into the equivalent of Stamkos (which is unlikely) you still get Eichel, so you don't lose the trade (unless you're giving up both of them or a boatload of other assets on top of them).

Only way Rangers lose is if Eichel's surgery goes horribly wrong.

I think we can both agree that Lundkvist and Schneider both being untouchable in a trade for Eichel is a bit ridiculous. Especially since the Rangers already have Fox (who is young and already a Norris winning RHD).

realistically hes trying to make them more valuable to everyone. He wont trade nils because its the whole reason he brought in nemeth but chytil, schneider, jones, georgiev, (maybe kravtsov although i dont see them movoing another potential top 6 winger when they just traded buch) and 1sts are in play

I've seen reports that Schneider is "untouchable" even for Eichel. (this makes no sense to me)

As for Kravtsov if he's the key piece you need to give up for Eichel you do it 10/10 times. Top 6 winger vs franchise 1C.

Schneider is trending up at the moment, I wouldn't call him untouchable but the kid has game with a boom. Kid lays big hits every game

Oh I agree about kravtsov would just rather at this point make a deal cenetered around either Zib in a 3 way trade or Strome and Chytil with a defenseman (jones maybe) and a 1st.

As for schneider he and nils arent even in the same realm so i dont get it either, nils is an A to A+ defensive prospect and Schneider is like a high B+ to A-depending on how he developes

I agree and if we dont have to trade him and we can trade a jones instead I do that 10/10 times but if it came down to getting eichel, u do it

Yeah no doubt he's a good valuable piece. He's probably gonna be a good shutdown 2nd pairing RHD but if you keep Fox, Lundkvist, Schneider and Trouba (NMC) one of them is gonna have to play the left side and one is gonna play their off side.

The Rangers are fortunate enough to have an abundance of talented young RHD. So many in fact they don't even have space to play all of them.

It makes sense to trade one of Lundkvist or Schneider for Eichel. Buffalo needs RHD and I think you'd be getting full value by trading them.
