I get the retaining on Joey because he is overpaid but when you retain 2 million or more it actually gives him good value and should return something nice. My knock on Joey is he takes games off and looks lazy sometimes but come playoff time he’s a great playoff contributor and every penny. I know he has it in him to be 60 point plus player and he’s definitely a great defensively sound center. Maybe we’ll see him and duchene get there mojo back next year. I wanna see forsberg Joey duchene line after building some chemistry at camp this year. And please hynes give them more than 10 games to jell before you break them up

Whether it's Duchene or Johansen, NSH needs either/both holding down a spot in the top six at $8M, a lot more than they need Johnson either taking ice time away from Carrier/Fabbro/Myers, or sitting in the press box, at $10M.
